The Order of Melchizedek

Eternal Life Through the Order of Melchizedek

The Bible is a book that testifies about Christ. Throughout the Bible, God reveals His plan of salvation through different priesthood systems in both the Old Testament and the New Testament. Among them, the order of Melchizedek stands as the eternal priesthood through which God grants forgiveness of sins and eternal life. By understanding this order, we can recognize the work of the Savior in both the first and second coming of Christ.

The Two Priesthoods in the Bible

In the Old Testament, God established the priesthood of Aaron through Moses:

Exodus 29:4 Then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the tent of meeting and wash them with water. Take the garments and dress Aaron with the tunic, the robe of the ephod, the ephod itself and the breastpiece. Fasten the ephod on him by its skillfully woven waistband. Put the turban on his head and attach the sacred emblem to the turban. Take the anointing oil and anoint him by pouring it on his head. Bring his sons and dress them in tunics and fasten caps on them. Then tie sashes on Aaron and his sons. The priesthood is theirs by a lasting ordinance. “Then you shall ordain Aaron and his sons.

This priesthood of Aaron offered animal sacrifices, it operated under the Law of Moses, it was temporary and a shadow of better things to come.

However, God prophesied of another priesthood:

Psalm 110:4 The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind: ‘You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.’

and further in the New Testament times the Bible shows that the priesthood would change:

Hebrews 7:12 For when the priesthood is changed, the law must be changed also.

Who Then Is This Melchizedek?

Genesis 14:18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High.

Melchizedek first appears in the time of Abraham having certain unique characteristics which are expounded in the book of Hebrews in the New Testament Times.

  1. King of righteousness and peace (Hebrews 7:2)
  2. Without Father or Mother, Without recorded genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, He is a priest forever (Hebrews 7:3)
  3. Most importantly, he offered bread and wine, unlike the animal sacrifices of the Old Covenant hence being a priest totally different from Aaron.

Jesus Christ and the Order of Melchizedek

The New Testament reveals that Jesus Christ is the High Priest in the order of Melchizedek:

Hebrews 5:7-10 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.

Unlike the priests of Aaron’s line Jesus established an eternal priesthood, a new covenant through the Passover bread and wine.

Matthew 26:17-19 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?” He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’” So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.

The Passover is the core of the order of Melchizedek and it is a sign which helps us recognize Melchizedek who is God.

Melchizedek who appeared in the Old Testament blessed Abraham with bread and wine and Jesus in the New Testament gave us the forgiveness of sins, eternal life through the Passover bread and wine. So Jesus is definitely a priest like Melchizedek.

Why Is It Important to Know About the Order of Melchizedek in These Last Days?

The Bible prophesied, warning us that this Passover of the New Covenant which is the core truth to identify who Melchizedek is would be lost and trampled on by the devil.

Daniel 7:25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people and try to change the set times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time.

Set times and the laws are with reference to the festivals of God and this includes the Passover of the New Covenant.

According to this prophecy the Passover was abolished at the council of Nicaea in A.D 325. If the truth of the Passover of the New Covenant is lost then it means the priesthood of Melchizedek is broken and no longer exists. However, God prophesied through the Bible that this priesthood of Melchizedek is forever(Psalms 110:4, Hebrews 6:20)

For this reason the Bible prophesies Jesus who is Melchizedek to come a second time and restore the truth of the Passover of the New Covenant.

Hebrews 9:28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

In the whole world in this age and time it is only Christ Ahnsahnghong who fulfilled the prophecy of coming in the order of Melchizedek as he restored the Passover of the New Covenant the sign of Melchizedek thus he is God.

Let us look at the prophecy of the Bible about this.

Isaiah 25:6-8 On this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples a banquet of aged wine—the best of meats and the finest of wines. On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations; he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth The Lord has spoken.

God holds a banquet of aged wine for all people why does he hold the banquet with aged wine? it is to swallow up death forever and give us eternal life

Among the 66 books of the Bible only the Passover wine that Jesus established 2,000 years ago brings eternal life. The wine is said to be aged because it has not been kept for a period of 1,600 years since being abolished. Let us continue to see who is the one who restores it.

Isaiah 25:9 In that day they will say, “Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the Lord, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”

It is said ”Surely this is our God,” Who is this? This is the one who swallows up death forever with the aged wine.

In other words the one who restores the Passover hidden for about 1,600 years and swallows up death forever with it is our God.

According to this prophecy Christ Ahnsahnghong brought us the Passover bread and wine through this restoration the way to eternal life has been opened again, since the true covenant has been re-established hence God’s people can once again keep the Passover.

Bread and wine is the sign that enables us to recognize Melchizedek. Among many priests in the Old Testament times it was only Melchizedek who brought bread and wine in the age of the Father and it was only Jesus who is Melchizedek that kept the Passover with bread and wine in the New Testament Age of the Son.

Today too although there are many churches it is only Christ Ahnsahnghong who brought us the Passover bread and wine. Therefore Christ Ahnsahnghong is the spiritual Melchizedek Christ who has appeared a second time in this age following all the prophecies of the prophets.

Let us firmly believe that Christ Ahnsahnghong is in very nature God, and become protagonists of the prophecy who proclaim to the whole world that Christ Ahnsahnghong is our God who comes as Melchizedek.
