Mombasa Church of God: 1,892nd Passover Blood Drive Success
May 7, 2026
In a world often grappling with medical emergencies, the World Mission Society Church of God serves as a beacon of hope through its global humanitarian initiatives.
On May 7, 2026, this wave of compassion reached the coastal city of Mombasa, Kenya, where local members enthusiastically organized the 1,892nd Worldwide Blood Drive to Give Life Through the Love of the Passover. This event was not just a volunteer activity but a profound expression of the New Covenant Passover love that Christ established to give life to humanity.
Early that morning, 12 dedicated members gathered at the regional blood center with a united mission: to deliver the gift of life to neighbors in critical need. The atmosphere was warm and encouraging as they underwent medical screenings. Ultimately, 11 members were cleared to donate, successfully contributing a total of 4,950 ml of precious blood. Each donation represented a lifeline for patients facing critical conditions in local hospitals.

The medical staff were visibly moved by the group’s dedication. Roseliah Mwasi, the manager of the Mombasa Regional Blood Donor Centre, remarked, “We are deeply moved by the selflessness shown by the Church of God members. The local medical sector frequently grapples with severe blood shortages, and the blood donated today will go a long way in saving lives. Thank you for stepping forward to lead this noble cause.”
For participants, the event was a spiritual act of sharing blessings. Brother Engenas, who donated with a bright smile, shared, “Jesus Christ gave us the promise of eternal life through His flesh and blood at the Passover. Sharing that same love by giving our physical blood fills my heart with joy. We hope our devotion brings health and happiness to families in our community.”

Guided by the teachings of God the Mother, the Church of God in Kenya remains committed to serving the community. This blood drive is part of a worldwide movement that transcends borders, bringing warmth to a cold world and delivering hope where it is needed most.
