Kisumu Church of God: 1,899th Passover Blood Drive Triumph
May 10, 2026
Following the inspiring life-saving movement in Mombasa, the divine wave of love and compassion traveled westward to the lakeside city of Kisumu.
On May 10, 2026, the World Mission Society Church of God in Kisumu successfully hosted the 1,899th Worldwide Blood Drive to Give Life Through the Love of the Passover.
This meaningful event was organized to practice the sacred teachings of Christ, who sacrificed His flesh and blood through the New Covenant Passover to grant eternal life and salvation to all humanity.

Coinciding with the warmth of Mother’s Day, 8 devoted church members gathered early in the morning at the local blood collection center with a unified goal: to share the gift of life with neighbors facing critical medical conditions. The volunteers underwent thorough health checks and medical screenings conducted by local health officials. Out of the participants, 5 members were successfully cleared to donate, ultimately contributing an aggregate of 2,150 ml of precious, high-quality blood to the regional supply.
Local medical staff expressed deep admiration for the church’s orderly organization and the members’ cheerful countenances. A representative from the healthcare facility noted that blood banks frequently run low on supplies, making voluntary drives a vital lifeline for emergency surgeries, pediatric care, and postpartum mothers. They thanked the church for stepping up during a critical time to support the public healthcare system.
The donors expressed that giving blood on Mother’s Day made the event even more profound, as it reflected the unconditional, life-giving heart of Heavenly Mother. The Kisumu Church of God vows to continue as the salt and light of the world, carrying out diverse volunteer services to nurture hope and unity throughout Kenya.
