A Special Encounter in Nairobi, Kenya: Bible Seminar and Korean Cultural Experience
August 3, 2025
On August 3, 2025, the World Mission Society Church of God in Nairobi, Kenya, hosted a meaningful event that brought together a Bible seminar and traditional Korean cultural experiences. Attended by 71 participants, the program offered a unique blend of spiritual learning and cultural discovery.
The Bible seminar focused on the theme “Heaven and Passover,” where participants had the opportunity to learn about the profound truths of the Bible and God’s sacred feasts. Through understanding the hope of heaven and the significance of Passover, attendees reflected on the essence of faith while listening attentively to the Word.

Following the seminar, the participants enjoyed a special Korean cultural experience. Laughter filled the air during a game of Jegichagi (a traditional Korean shuttlecock-kicking game), and the Hanbok-wearing activity gave everyone a chance to experience the elegance of Korea’s beautiful traditional clothing.
Other activities included Gonggi (a traditional jacks game), which challenged participants’ concentration and dexterity, and Tuho (a traditional arrow-throwing game), which fostered healthy competition. A sock-yarn keychain-making activity also allowed everyone to express their creativity and create unique works of art.

This event transcended simple cultural exchange, becoming a meaningful time where faith and culture harmonized. It provided an opportunity for local Kenyans to directly experience Korean traditional culture, deepening friendship and understanding between the two countries. Through this day’s experiences, participants felt the diversity and beauty of culture while simultaneously confirming their unity in faith, spending precious time together.
The successful combination of spiritual learning and cultural exploration created lasting memories and strengthened the bonds between Korean and Kenyan communities within the church fellowship.
