God’s Salvation Rising From the East

From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible reveals God’s work proceeding according to plan, time, and prophecy. Nothing about salvation is accidental. The Scriptures carefully unveil how God would appear and the place he would appear or be born, the truth that he will bring, and how humanity could recognize Him. Those who study the Bible deeply come to understand that prophecy is God’s invitation—calling people to recognize His presence when He fulfills His promises.

Just as the first coming of Christ was foretold centuries in advance, the second coming is also revealed through prophecy. While many focus on when Christ will come again, the Bible also provides insight into where salvation would arise in the last days. According to Scripture, the final work of salvation would begin from the East.

This truth is not based on speculation or tradition, but on the clear testimony of both the Old and New Testaments.

God Reveals Himself Through Prophecy

God has always announced His works before carrying them out.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.

Before Jesus was born, God revealed the location of His birth so that people could recognize the Messiah.

Micah 5:2 But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”

This prophecy was fulfilled exactly when Jesus was born in Bethlehem(c.f Matthew 2:1-2). However, despite the clear prophecy, only a few recognized Him. Most failed to accept Him because He appeared in ordinary human form.

This pattern repeats itself in the last days.

The Purpose of Christ’s Second Coming

The Bible explains clearly why Christ must appear again.

Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

The second coming is not about repeating the work of suffering on the cross. It is about restoring salvation that was lost and completing God’s plan before the end of the age.

Therefore, to understand where Christ would appear again, we must first understand where the work of salvation begins in the last days.

The Last Work of Salvation Before the Final Disaster

The book of Revelation describes a time of unprecedented tribulation globally in scale and devastating impact. Yet before this final disaster unfolds, God performs one final act of mercy.

Revelation 7:2 Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea:

This angel does not come to judge, but to seal God’s servants so they may be protected from the coming destruction.

Revelation 7:3 Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.

This sealing work is the final act of salvation before the end.

What Is the Seal of God?

The Bible does not leave the meaning of the seal vague or symbolic. Jesus Himself explained it.

John 6:27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. On him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.

To receive God’s seal, people must become one with Christ.

John 6:53-56 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.

This teaching was not metaphorical. Jesus fulfilled it through the New Covenant Passover, where He gave bread and wine as His flesh and blood, promising eternal life to those who partake(c.f Luke 22:15–20).

Therefore, the seal of God is the New Covenant Passover, the very truth that grants salvation.

The Loss and Restoration of the Passover

History records that the New Covenant Passover was abolished in A.D. 325 at the Council of Nicaea. From that point onward, Christianity lost the truth that Jesus established for eternal life.

For centuries, believers practiced Christianity without the Passover, unknowingly separated from the seal of God. If Christ were to appear again to bring salvation, He would have to restore the Passover.

And according to prophecy, this restoration would not occur in the Middle East—but in a far-off land in the East.

Prophecy of Salvation From the East

Through the prophet Isaiah, God revealed the direction and location of His final work.

Isaiah 46:11 From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do.

In the Bible, a bird of prey—especially an eagle—symbolizes God Himself(c.f Exodus 19:4; Deuteronomy 32:11). Isaiah’s prophecy reveals several key truths:

  1. God would come as a man
  2. He would appear in the last days
  3. He would come from a distant land in the East
  4. His purpose would be salvation

This prophecy cannot refer to Christ’s first coming, because Jesus was born in Bethlehem, within the land of Israel. Instead, it clearly points to the Second Coming Christ.

Isaiah further emphasizes this truth:

Isaiah 41:2–4 Who has stirred up one from the east, calling him in righteousness to his service? He hands nations over to him and subdues kings before him. He turns them to dust with his sword, to windblown chaff with his bow. He pursues them and moves on unscathed, by a path his feet have not traveled before. Who has done this and carried it through, calling forth the generations from the beginning? I, the Lord—with the first of them and with the last—I am he.

God declares that He Himself would come from the East to fulfill His final work.

East of Where? Understanding the Geography of Prophecy

When Isaiah prophesied, he was in the land of Israel. When the apostle John saw the sealing work, he was on the island of Patmos(c.f Revelation 1:9). Therefore, the “far-off land in the East” must be east of both Israel and Patmos.

This excludes the Middle East entirely.

Geographically and prophetically, the description fits East Asia, and historically, only one nation fulfills all the conditions of prophecy. It is South Korea.

The Appearance of Salvation in Korea

In South Korea, the New Covenant Passover—lost for over 1,600 years—was restored exactly as Jesus taught. The one who restored it was Christ Ahnsahnghong.

He did not bring a new teaching or doctrine of man. Instead, He restored the truth that Jesus Himself established, opening once again the way to eternal life. This fulfillment aligns perfectly with:

  1. Revelation 7: the seal coming from the East.
  2. Isaiah 46: a man from a far-off land in the East.
  3. Hebrews 9:28: Christ appearing again with salvation

Why Many Fail to Recognize Christ Today

Just as people struggled to accept Jesus 2,000 years ago, many today stumble over the idea that Christ appears in the flesh again.

John 1:11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.

God’s method has never changed. He comes humbly, fulfills prophecy precisely, and allows people to choose faith or disbelief.

Those who rely only on human expectations miss God’s work. But those who study the Scriptures with humility recognize the fulfillment of prophecy.

The Mission Continues Today

After restoring the Passover, Christ Ahnsahnghong established the World Mission Society Church of God to spread the truth of salvation to all nations.

Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Today, people from every background are hearing the message of the New Covenant Passover and receiving the seal of God, just as Revelation foretold.

An Invitation to the Reader

The Bible concludes with an invitation:

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.

Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

In these last days, the age of the Holy Spirit God has once again opened the way to eternal life. The seal of salvation has appeared. The question is no longer whether prophecy has been fulfilled, but whether we will recognize it.

Those who seek truth are invited to study the Scriptures, learn about the New Covenant Passover, and receive the seal of God before the final disaster comes.

Salvation has arisen from the East—and it is reaching the whole world. Come to the World Mission Society Church of God and know more about the prophecies about the last salvation work carried out by the second coming Christ.
