Clean Community, Warm Hearts

Homa Bay Church of God Conducts Environmental Cleanup

On November 2, 2025, members of the Church of God in Homa Bay carried out an environmental cleanup around the Railla Odinga Stadium to improve the local environment and practice neighborly love. About 12 members gathered early in the morning to collect trash scattered along nearby roads and public spaces, and to separate and clear fallen leaves and plastic waste, creating a cleaner and more pleasant environment.

The stadium and surrounding roads are areas frequently used by local residents, yet have been affected by litter and pollution, making environmental improvement necessary. The volunteers came prepared with protective equipment and cleaning tools, and joyfully participated in the work. Many passersby expressed appreciation and encouragement, and some residents joined the activity, adding greater meaning through sharing and cooperation.

Participants shared their thoughts, saying, “A clean environment is something we build together,” and, “We want to practice the love of God and become a small light and salt in our community.” They also expressed their commitment to continue serving the local community through ongoing volunteer activities and to help create a better living environment for all.

The Church of God conducts volunteer activities around the world with a heart of love and care. The Church in Kenya will continue striving to build a brighter and healthier society through selfless service and sharing.
