The Bible Is Fact

The BIBLE is a collection of Books written by different authors inspired by the HOLY SPIRIT over a span of about 1,500 years.

It begins with the Book of Genesis, Gen. 1:1 with the creation of the heavens and the earth by God Elohim and ends with the Book of Revelation, Rev.21:1 with creation of a new heaven and a new earth.

Christians should uphold the BIBLE, the word of God, as factual, reliable, rational, holy and authoritative and as having the instructions from GOD concerning the salvation of humankind.

God has shown us several times that the Bible is a fact through much evidence, and getting to know the truth about these evidences is very exciting and important to humankind.

The various evidences are;

• Scientific evidence,
• Historical prophecies about nations, cities, kings, etc.
• Prophecies about the spiritual world.

Proof That the Bible Is Fact Through Scientific Evidence

Many have the assumption that science and the modern knowledge of understanding things, has thoroughly discredited the BIBLE. This ignorance and notion is wrong, and only people who know little about the bible accept it.

Having such a kind of mindset of not believe the BIBLE and proceeding with a blind faith, without considering scientific facts, is very dangerous for Christians nowadays.

Let Us Look at Scientific Records About the Earth

Job 26:7 He spreads out the northern skies over empty space: he suspends the earth over nothing.

The above verse means that the earth is hanging in space. Today, this is an accepted scientific discovery to everyone, which was made known by Isaac Newton in the 17^th century through the Law of Universal Gravitation. However, ancient people had the conviction that the earth was fixed on something.

Isaac Newton’s scientific discovery was just a confirmation of the accuracy of the scriptures.

The BIBLE, which precedes science, had already recorded this in the Book of Job which was written over 3,500 years before the discovery was made. This could not have been possible back then, and is absolute proof that the Bible is fact, and it is truly the word of God.

Proof That Bible Is Fact Through Historical Prophecies

The BIBLE contains hundreds of prophecies that are factual, have come true, and have since passed, since God is the one who inspired the writing of the prophecies.

Humankind fail to recognize these prophecies, which have immaculately revealed the course of world history and reveal the future course of the world. This expounded knowledge cannot be found in any other book apart from the BIBLE.

Let Us See the Book of Daniel Concerning the History of Greece and Its Ruler Alexander the Great

Daniel 8:20-22 “The two-horned ram that you saw represents the kings of media and Persia. The shaggy goat is the king of Greece, and the large horn between his eyes is the first king. The four horns that replaced the one that was broken off represent four kingdoms that will emerge from his nation but will not have same power.

Do you know when God prophesied this? It was right before the fall of Babylon (Daniel 8:1). However, the Bible prophesied about the kingdoms of Media, Persia and Greece, which would appear after Babylon’s destruction and fall.

The Bible also prophesied that Greece would be divided into four kingdoms after its first king had died and it came to be fulfilled exactly. History records that after Alexander’s death, his kingdom was split into four, each headed by his four generals. This happened 300 years after Daniel had prophesied about it through God’s inspiration.

The Book of Daniel contains a very large percentage of fulfilled world prophecies. This can only be possible through divine intervention, God. This confirms that the Bible is fact and the absolute words of God.

Let Us See Historical Prophecy About King Cyrus and Its Fulfillment

Israel was under Babylon captivity for 70 years, but was later freed by King Cyrus when he destroyed Babylon.

Ezra 1:1-3 “This is what Cyrus king of Persia says: The LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and he has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah. Anyone of his people among you-may his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem in Judah and build the temple of the LORD, the God of Israel, and God who is in Jerusalem.’’

King Cyrus had no belief in God, as he was a Gentile.

Then why would he say that the LORD had given him all the kingdoms of the earth?

Why did he repeatedly give glory to God, saying God of heaven is the true God?

It is because he had found Bible prophecies recording his name and achievements even before he was born. The Book that contains this is the records of Isaiah the prophet of God.

Isaiah 45:1-3, 13 “This is what the LORD says to his anointed, to Cyrus whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut: I will go before you and will level the mountains: I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name .  .  . I will raise up Cyrus in my righteousness: I will make all his ways straight. He will rebuild my city and set my exiles free, but not for a price or reward, says the LORD Almighty.”

The above prophecy of God through Prophet Isaiah was written about 170 years before King Cyrus freed the Israelites. Even before he was born, God had recorded his achievements and that is why he gave glory to God.

There is the prophecy of spiritual world, which will be fulfilled for sure.

Revelation 21:1, 4 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away and there was no longer any sea. . . He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.

The aforementioned proofs of science and world history certainly reveal to us that the Bible is fact.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

We should absolutely believe that GOD will take us to the Kingdom of Heaven, where there is happiness and joy always.

Many Christians claim to believe in GOD yet they do not really know God and waste their lives on the things of this earth thinking that God does not exist.

We should never have such a mindset like theirs, but firmly believe in the words of God as we run towards His eternal Kingdom‒a place of no sorrow or mourning, but everlasting happiness and joy.
